CSI
Bara provides training to youths
KALAIYA, September 22
Cottage and Small Industries (CSIs), Bara has run
various skill development training at different parts
of the district with the view to help make the unemployed
youths of the district self-dependent. Training is
given on furniture, motorcycle workshop, bamboo and
rattan works and dolls making training.

Training
organized
KATHMANDU, September 21
Women in Action, Nepal (WAN) has provided
15-day training to Nepalese women in Kathmandu. The
training has been instrumental to equip the needed
skills to work in various sectors. Forty-four women
from Kathmandu, Jhapa, Lalitpur, Kavre, Gorkha, Sarlahi
and Palpa had participated in the training. The training
imparted skills on knitting and dress designing. Woman
Environment Protection Group provided the financial
support. Foundation has volunteered to market the
products prepared by the trainees.

Vocational
training begins in Damak
KATHMANDU, August 7
A three month long vocational training begun in a
trade school in Damak. A total of 34 trainees from
various parts of Mechi zone are taking part in the
vocational training. Inaugurating the training programme,
president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of
Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Binod Bahadur Shrestha
said that the private sector and local administration
would play a vital role to make the programme a success.

Training
on making items from bamboo ends
KATHMANDU, August 1
A three month training on making decorative items
from bamboo organized by Environment an Public Health
Council (ENAPHC) was concluded. Altogether 28 trainees,
including 22 women participated in the training.
People from different walks of life attended the
programme presided over by ENAPHC chairperson Amal
Devi Bajracharya.
